India yet to confirm tour

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Ali Asghar will meet his Indian counterpart Jagmohan Dalmiya in Kolkata on December 28 to take final a decision on the fate of India's scheduled tour to Bangla-desh in April 2004.The highly anticipated visit by Saurav Ganguly's men has been thrown into uncertainty following the revival of cricketing ties between bitter neighbours India and Pakistan recently. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is interested in hosting India for four Tests and seven one-day internationals starting from the middle of March. If that high-profile series goes ahead, it would put India's arrival in Bangladesh in jeopardy. Asghar already had a discussion with Dalmiya last Monday but reportedly, didn't get any confirmation about the tour. Sunday's meeting is likely to settle the issue. India are expected to appear in two Tests against Bangladesh and a tri-nation ODI series involving the two teams and another Test-playing nation during their tour of Bangladesh.
